Measuring work motivation: The facets of the work values questionnaire and work success

The current study investigates the factor structure of Work Values Questionnaire (WVQ) which measures how important each 44 different features a job are to respondent. Over 750 international working professionals, primarily from UK, completed survey included WVQ, and self-perceived success. Factor analysis (both exploratory confirmatory) was conducted extract factors facets. Structural equation modeling used compare model fit, extracted facets were regressed on subjective work results show that scales fit coherent interpretable with two six facets, fitting an intrinsic-extrinsic factorial structure, consistent previous research. values demographics accounted for between 13% 17% variance in Three significant predictors success: intrinsic Affiliation Recognition positive predictors, extrinsic facet Security negative predictor, perceived Limitations implications this research considered.
